You
could ignore it. Many companies blindly carry on, investing
more in marketing when sales are good, and cut back when
sales drop. When an ad doesn't pull right away it's killed.
And when something works, they usually get tired of it and
move on to something else. Does this sound as backwards
to you as it does to me?
The first step in a successful business is
a marketing plan that encompasses Identifying your
product and market, advertising, packaging and how you will
test, track, adjust and expand your marketing as your business
grows and develops. I've written a training that will take
you step by step through planning your business. This will
walk you through finding your target market, identifying
your competition, establishing what part of the market is
yours, and how to put it all together into a business plan.
Start here.
2.
Advertise
Advertising is finding the best way to get information about
your product before your market, and entice them into buying.
There are at least as many successful methods of advertising
as there are successful businesses. Your best chance is
to follow someone that is in your field of business, that
is successful, and is using a method that allows you to
utilize your special talents an strengths.
You
chose a business you enjoy, and you've created a website
that is written and designed with your target market in
mind. Now market it in a manner you enjoy. Learn from the
masters, copy those that are successful. To the left is
a list of several masters that have been and still are successful
using the internet to market their products. Read what they
have to offer, choose the one that works the best for you
and you enjoy the most. Remember to have fun.
3.
Follow-up
Follow up with your prospects to turn them into customers.
and Follow up with your customers to keep them coming
back. The internet provides an easy, inexpensive way for
you to keep in touch with your prospects. It has been said
that most sales occur after 10 - 15 follow-up contacts have
been made. Calling and speaking to them personally is probably
the most successful. However, using email is easier, cheaper
and more time saving. The best automated follow-up service
I've found online is AWeber.
