Retail and
Reselling
A Product Based Business
Retail:
Create your own product. You can then sell it yourself, and/or
start an affiliate or resale program and enlist salesmen to
help you to sell your product. Learn about affiliate
marketing and using this as either a sales approach for
your product or service or marketing them specifically.
Resale:
The resale aspect of this business is tailor made for those
of you that love to sell. The simple version is you find a product,
match that up to the market that can best use it, and sell it.
The advantages of reselling someone else's product is that you
don't have any distractions from the creating, packaging or
shipping. All you do is find a market for it, and sell it.
Choosing
the business or product you want to resell
Since you are selling this product, most of the things to consider
are directly related to the ease in marketing and the return
on your product. Make sure you get all the information possible
on the product or service you are reselling. Check out the company
that is providing it thoroughly, because if that company goes
down, it will reflect on you.
Is this a product you feel comfortable reselling.
Will it bring you the income you are looking for.
Will the product continue to bring in income, on a monthly
basis from your sales.
Or will the return on each sale be high enough that you don't
need residual income.
How easy will it be to market
Will you have an expanding marketing - one that keeps growing.
Do you already have a network of customers that might benefit
from this product/business.
Can you package it with a another business when you sell it
to increase the profit.
How
to market your resale business
You can choose your marketing and advertising methods. Use whatever
method you like that will best sell your product. Learn marketing
techniques, starting with developing a marketing plan and exploring
